Uninstalling the App on GitHub stops Upseam for every repository and deletes the installation's data. To install it again, see Install the GitHub App.
#Steps
-
Disconnect Slack first, if you connected it
Open Integrations in the installation and press Disconnect Slack. Uninstalling does not revoke the Slack bot token with Slack. Without this step, remove the Upseam app from your Slack workspace instead.
-
Open Defaults
In the installation, open Defaults and find the Disconnect section.
You should see the text "Uninstalling the App on GitHub stops Upseam for every repository and deletes this installation's data".
-
Press Uninstall on GitHub
It opens GitHub's settings page for this installation, in the organization's settings for an organization.
-
Uninstall there
When GitHub reports the uninstall, Upseam deletes the data below.
#What Upseam deletes
- The installation with its repositories, surfaces, findings and settings.
- The stored model key and the Slack link.
- The installation's product events. Upseam asks PostHog to delete the pseudonymous person.
#What stays
- A removal marker with only the installation id and the time of removal, so that late GitHub notices do not bring the installation back.
- An analytics marker with the installation id, deleted after 13 months, so that late product events are not exported.
- Records of queued work and received webhook deliveries. They follow the periods in How long data stays.
