# Analytics

A verified vendor gets a page in the Upseam App with numbers about the changes
it pushed. Every number about users is a range, never a count. The rules are
on [What vendors see about users](vendor-privacy.md).

## Who can open it

Sign in to the App with GitHub and add the API vendor workspace to your
account under Settings, Account. You see your provider when the Upseam GitHub
App is installed on the account that owns the verified repository and you
have access to that repository. Everyone else who is signed in gets the same
"This page does not exist" answer, whether the provider is registered or not.

## Overview

The Overview of your provider shows:

- **Changes pushed** in the last 30 days: how many changes you sent. This is
your own data, not a count of users.
- **The flow of your changes.** Of the organizations your changes reached, how
many fixed them with an Upseam pull request, fixed them without Upseam, or
still have them open. A table under the chart gives the same numbers as
ranges, and on a narrow screen only the table shows.
- **Acceptance.** How organizations decided on your changes, as bars.
- **SDK versions.** Organizations by major version of your SDKs, taken from
their subscriptions to your provider. Versions with too few organizations
  are merged into **Other**.
- **Merges by day.** The merged range of each change on the day you pushed it.
- **Public npm downloads** from the last 7 days, for up to 3 of your npm
packages: the top 5 versions of each and **Other versions**. PyPI downloads
  are not shown.

## Changes

**Changes** is a feed of your pushed changes grouped by month. A change opens
its own page with its flow and a table of the same numbers.

> **Note.** **Usage** and **Impact preview** are listed in the App and show
> that they are coming. They show no numbers yet.

## How the numbers read

Each number is a range such as `25–49`, or `fewer than 15`. The ranges are
`15–24`, `25–49`, `50–99`, `100–249`, `250–499`, `500–999`, `1,000–2,499`,
`2,500–4,999` and `5,000 or more`. A sum over several changes is a range that
contains the true total. A share is shown only when both numbers are at least
25, rounded to 10%.

A change that Upseam delivered but did not yet count shows **analytics
later**. Upseam counts at most 5 new changes per provider in any rolling 7
days. Every change is still stored and delivered to users as usual.

A total that adds parts reads **fewer than 25** when it is hidden.

The analytics load up to 30 times an hour per provider.
